CM CARES® — the Church Mutual Insurance Company Foundation — is donating to nonprofit organizations across the United States through an employee-led charitable giving program. Nationwide, 14 organizations were chosen to receive a share of $45,000.
As part of the Church Mutual family of companies, CM Vantage Specialty Insurance Company employees participated by nominating nonprofits and voting for the causes they care about in the Madison area — with Sleep in Heavenly Peace and The River Food Pantry selected to receive CM CARES donations.
In our other communities the following nonprofits received donations:
- Jessi’s Wish – Merrill, Wis.
- Lincoln County Humane Society – Merrill, Wis.
- Pathfinders – Milwaukee, Wis.
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Wisconsin – Milwaukee, Wis.
- Bethany House – Carlisle, Pa.
- Graceful Acres – Halifax, Pa.
- Centenary Community Ministries – Macon, Ga.
- Salty Family Services – Ormond Beach, Fla.
- Every Meal – Roseville, Minn.
- Michigan Urban Youth Alliance – Detroit, Mich.
- Camp Kesem – Covina, Calif.
- Make-a-Wish Colorado – Greenwood Village, Colo.
“Our employees lead with their hearts, and they want to feel personally connected to the impact we make in communities,” said Alan Ogilvie, Church Mutual President and CEO. “This employee-led giving gave our people a real voice in the causes CM CARES supports — many of which reflect the same types of service-driven organizations we work with and help protect every day. It’s a direct way to live out our commitment to serving others.”
The 14 chosen nonprofits represent a wide range of causes, including youth and family services, food aid, health and wellness programs, and community enrichment. Each organization was nominated by employees who shared how the nonprofit’s mission and work strengthen their communities.
Employee-directed giving is a key component of CM CARES’ broader philanthropic efforts, which focus on causes that advance and elevate others. To date, more than 1,400 organizations have received support from CM CARES.
